Augustine was a Reformed theologian! St. Augustine believed in Apostolic Succession, that baptism regenerates, that Gods authority is vested in the Catholic Church, that the Deuterocanonicals are scriptural, that salvation can be gained and lost, that the Mass is a sacrifice, that the Mass is necessary for salvation, that Christ is really present in the Eucharist, that good works complete saving faith, that Gods grace can be resisted, that Mary is the mother of God, that Mary was perpetually virginal, that Mary was sinless, that Peter was pre-eminent among the Apostles, that the Apostolic See is authoritative, that prayers for the dead are effective, that Purgatory is necessary for a soul to be completely sanctified, that relics of the saints are worthy of honor, that saints are to be prayed to, that saints are to be venerated, and that Apostolic Tradition conveys Truth. But other than all that, yeah, Augustine was a Reformed theologian. Practically the Martin Luther of the 4th and 5th centuries. Good grief.
