Auntie Lori here updating our beloved listeners on what is happening with the station: The Whip has been sold to an entity called Smash Hit Media, effective immediately. These folks also own the stations in Paxton and Hoopeston. The format will be drastically changing as the new owner has already installed equipment at the station for his satellite programming. I was just told that Lonesome Larry Williams has until August 10 to get out of the station. As hard as this is to hear, all things happen for a reason. You will be able to hear Lonesome Larrys American Roots format this fall online at backlandradio. Thank you all for your support for the past 18 years and we hope to see you down the road very soon.
