Aurangabad Municipal Corporation may lift total blocking of road stretch AURANGABAD: Taking strong objection over the civic bodys decision of blocking the stretch between Kranti Chowk and Osmanpura, a delegation of social activists and residents on Friday urged the municipal commissioner to allow traffic movement from one side of the stretch. To expedite the construction of road from Kranti Chowk to railway station, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday blocked the 300-metre road for about 50 days. During the meeting with municipal commissioner Harshdeep Kamble, the delegation said that the road should not be blocked from both the sides ahead of Holi. The residents told Kamble that those moving from Osampura to Kranti Chowk will have to cover more distance to reach the other end. The civic body has been blocking only one side of the road while constructing it. A similar pattern was followed on the road at the railway station end. Then what is the need to block the entire road which is in the centre of the city, they said.
