Australia sure is a creamy pot of multicultural flavour, and nothing can be more true when it comes to the choice of cream one has the good fortune of choosing from at a local Asian grocery store. This fine specimen is an Appolo Mochi. Coming in a variety of flavours, on this sunny Sunday in South Yarra, Victoria I opted for the vanilla flavour with red bean. Peeling back the paper covering, reveals two circular white cream eggs and a two pronged plastic fork. Coated in white flour dust, over a rice paper shell containing a mantel of frozen vanilla cream delight reaching the cream core, which was - as advertised - a red bean paste. One definitely was not enough, so its a darn good thing a provision of two was allocated. Devoured both. The elderly Chinese non-bloke was right when emphatically stating it was the numero uno choice of cream when it came time for their creaming. 10/10 would cream again. Unable to fault it on flavour, texture or the fair price of $3. Whats your go to import cream?
