Economic data was mixed, investors took profit ahead of Friday´s jobs data and investors mulled a possible scaling-back of Federal Reserve monetary stimulus. The Dow Jones closed lower by 217pts or 1.4pct while the S&P 500 fell by 1.4pct while the Nasdaq lost 43.8pts or 1.3pct. .
