About CoolPets Water Cooled Dog Houses The CoolPets Water Cooled Dog House is made from a durable and porous material with insulation properties that are excellent 365 days a year. When the water cooling feature is activated, during heat-waves, it reduces the inside temperature by up to 15°C. Simply connect the dog house to a garden tap or hose and the water will pass through the cooling block(s), creating a cooling evaporative effect, then draining into a water bowl, ensuring the constant supply of fresh cool drinking water. The overflow cools down the ground around the dog house, providing cool air to breathe. This is all achieved with the equivalent amount of water as one full standard bath tub over a period of 8-10 hours. The water inlet is fitted with a flow restrictor, to prevent unnecessary excessive usage of water. Why CoolPets designed the Water Cooled Dog House With temperatures rising each year, back yards becoming smaller with less trees and shade and 6 foot high fences becoming the norm, it is important to ensure the protection of the domestic dog from deadly heat-stroke.
