Automotive Recycling Process Typical life cycle of a vehicle upon arrival at Frank Crash Auto Wrecking: All fluids (motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, etc.) are removed and stored in proper storage tanks for recycling or disposal by an approved fluid recycler. Most reusable parts are removed, inventoried and put away for resale. Parts deemed unusable are disposed of in special recycling containers. The vehicle shell is stored in our yard and major body components are held for sale. Eventually the body shell is crushed and sent to a metal recycling facility. From there it will end up recycled into other steel products including new vehicles and parts.
