Autumn ---- Another Leaf Falls. The phone rang. I picked it up and looked at it, and recognized the number on the dial and my heart sank. I guessed the news. It was young Roma. Baffled I asked, Whats the news. Dad passed away this morning. was the reply in a trembling voice. I prayed for his recovery this evening, not having any knowledge of his demise. I had been phoning frequently to inquire after his health, hoping he would recover and my dear friend Renu would enjoy the love, warmth and devotion of her dear husband, Jagdish Bhai. A man who was gentle, kind, loving and a friend in need. I had known both Renu and Jagdish Bhai for the last 38 years. I had met Renu while doing a course in Accounting, and we had bonded together, and our friendship had remained constant throughout these years, though I travelled a lot. She is a very kind and generous person, and their match was made in Heaven. They lived in such peace and tranquility, and Jagdish Bhai would gratify her wishes and desires, and she was his loyal and loving wife. He loved and was devoted to both his children, but the couple suffered the tragic loss of their young son, which broke their hearts. Their young daughter Roma has looked after him and taken care of him during his long illness, while Renu had to work. As I write, Jagdish Bhais smiling face is before my eyes, and I can never forget his gentle and kind nature. May the Lord lend solace and comfort to both Renu and Roma in this their tragic loss, and may the Almighty help them in their future. Amen. This Tree Of Life is so old, One by one a leaf falls, of which we are not told, Some fall early and some fall late, This is a game played by Fate.
