Available for adoption: Chewy is an AKC chocolate Labrador, born 5/6/13. He was originally adopted from a breeder when he was just 10 weeks old. Chewy came to us from his loving owners due to a severe allergy in the family. They are heartbroken to give him up and are relying on LR to find him the perfect home. Chewy is new to Labrador Rescuers as of 4/28/14. He passed his evaluation with flying colors, and should make just about any family very happy. Things to know about Chewy: *Housetrained *Knows the following commands: No, Sit, Down, Off, Paw and “No Mouth” *Rides nicely loose in the car *Sleeps quietly on a dog bed at night *Is still very much a puppy and likes to chew (hide your shoes!) *Should be crated when left alone *Learned how to use doggie door in less than a day *Cat friendly (curious, not aggressive) *Gets along with ALL dogs and LOVES to play *Shares toys nicely *Loves fetching just about anything Chewy is a young, active puppy and needs a family that is home often and committed to helping him remain the wonderful Labrador he already is. He will need proper love, attention, exercise, continued socialization and training to make sure this happens. He truly is the epitome of a Labrador Retriever.
