Avery County Rotary To Hold Raffle ! The Avery County Rotary Club will be holding it’s first annual Wine and Cheese Raffle on Saturday, September 21st at the Rotary Pancake Breakfast to be held at the Linville Land Harbor golf house. The winner does not need to be in attendance at the breakfast to win. There are three gift certificates to Eriks Cheese and Wine to be awarded: First Place = $250 gift certificate Second Place = $200 gift certificate Third Place = $150 gift certificate Tickets are still available and can be purchased for $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 at the following locations: 1. Avery County Chamber of Commerce 2. Avery Pharmacy 3. Eriks Cheese and Wine 4. Mountain Retreat Realty 5. Habitat ReStore 6. Personal Touch 7. Williams YMCA All proceeds will go to support local schools (including Avery County Schools, Mayland Community College, and Lees McRea New Opportunities), charitable organizations (like Feeding Avery Families and Habitat for Humanity among others), and other civic minded organizations (like the Williams YMCA, the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute, 4H, Grandfather Home and others).
