“Awaken to Life” Rev. Jennifer Brooks After a cold and snowy winter, the ground is brown with dead leaves. The bushes are sticks, the trees bare. Slowly the Earth warms, the first crocuses struggle to emerge. A slight red tints the highest tips of the trees. The wind gusts. Spring seems impossible–and then it arrives. The Earth awakens to life and, miraculously, so do we. This Sunday, we celebrate Passover, Easter, and the resurgence of Life: freedom, hope, and a new start.
