Awareness to the ‘GATEWAY OF SALVATION’ Starts Right Here! 1. There is ONLY ONE PLAN OF SALVATION by the Name of JESUS CHRIST whereby we must be saved. ( Acts 4: 10, 12 ). But the question is…why from the OLD to the NEW COVENANT, why we distinguish SALVATION BY WORKS to SALVATION BY FAITH? The OLD COVENANT is called OLD because Israel perverted the everlasting covenant with Abraham into a system of works-( SALVATION BY WORKS). As Abraham perverted the use of Hagar, making a wife to secure a child.- So Israel perverted the moral and ritual instructions from an arrangement of law and the gospel ( one consisting ) (the law ) and the other pointing to Christ ( ritual ) to merely a system of works- obey it all and you will be saved-( SALVATION BY WORKS). It was not until the blood of Christ was shed that the Abrahamic covenant was RATIFIED into the NEW COVENANT- ( SALVATION BY FAITH )( Hebrews 9: 15 Romans 4: 11- 13 ). The covenant of grace that was first made with man in Eden, when after the Fall there was given a divine promise that the seed of the woman should bruise the serpent’s head was known as the ‘first gospel’ in Gen. 3: 15. The same covenant was renewed to Abraham in the promise, ‘ In thy seed shall all nations of the earth be blessed.’-Gen. 22: 18. This promise pointed to Christ. So Abraham understood it ( See Gal.3: 8,16 ) and he trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of sins Gen. 3: 15 was the divine covenant with Abraham, it revealed the ‘FAMILY LINE’ through which the promised seed would come-(Patriarch & Prophets 370:2-371:1). The said FAMILY LINE in connection with the ‘everlasting covenant with Abraham was revealed in FIGURES as recorded in Matthew 1: 17’s ‘42 generations’ from Abraham until Christ.( ‘42’-the code of ‘SIN’ which meant that our Saviour JESUS CHRIST is a Saviour from ‘SIN’ not only LITERALLY but HISTORICALLY and SYMBOLICALLY as well! The word ‘SIN’ was manifested in history regarding CHRIST’s FIRST ADVENT which follow exactly the ‘6 COVENANT LINEAGE covered by the everlasting covenant with Abraham’….. starting from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Phinehas until King David ( Our Lord is known as the ‘root of David, the Lion of the tribe of Judah’-Rev. 5: 5 ). 2. This ONLY ONE PLAN OF SALVATION by the Name of JESUS CHRIST whereby we must be saved ( Acts 4 : 10, 12 ) disclosed the GOSPEL message that leads to ‘SALVATION BY FAITH’ – [ ‘The GOSPEL message under the NEW COVENANT ( SALVATION BY FAITH ) that is WRITTEN in His Name’ ] as disclosed on Chart #43-A ( see bottom portion ) posted below:
