Away from the NHC there was a smaller event called the Halloween Monster Mash held by Ninebarnyardowls in Wellington. Thankfully I entered into this as well as my APA came second! And the beer I brewed specifically for the event managed to get the most original/creative. It was a smoked, chillied, ryed, double IPA brewed with Belgian yeast :) So a bit of a combination! Apparently the judges felt it tasted like a supreme pizza from pizza hut! I reckon the event will go from strength to strength so enter it next year. Well done to all who got anything this weekend
