Awesome talk with a powerful COO of a 200 million dollar retail company today. We talked about making choices in the More, better, different arena vs. transformational or a better word I like to chose is new. Its the distinction that 99% of people dont get and it keeps them back. What became interesting is the COOs understanding of the transformation. Hed been with the company for 7 years and made the transformational decisions to take the company from 10 million to 200 million. Hes been using the distinctions to move the company forward as well. Yet, in his own career he could never make the transformational decisions to go from the COO to a CEO/Consultant in another company because he saw that choice in the more, better, different life. He could see the choices is his company but not in himself. Thats how most people live life as well. Were going to create an invented for him in the next few months and hes extremely excited about it. I ask you this: What in your life are you failing to make the transformational choice about? Dont confuse change with transformation. They are COMPLETELY different. One creates a default future and the other creates an invented future. Which one are you choosing today?
