Awful experience last night but thankfully a happy ending. We took - TopicsExpress

Awful experience last night but thankfully a happy ending. We took the dogs on the beach on the end illuminated by the street lights above. Foolish in retrospect as they didnt have flashing collars and we managed to lose our dear old Edgar - who is deaf as a post. The beach was deserted, it was the coldest night of the year with frost underfoot - my phone battery was running out and despite the help of kind husky people with head lamps he was nowhere to be seen. We scoured the beach and searched the road above. NINETY heart stopping minutes later (10.34pm) I received a call from the best address in town - hed walked the length of the beach, gone up the slope, CROSSED THE ROAD, gone up the steps of the Grand Hotel, through the automatic glass doors, up the carpeted steps and at the next glass doors which were locked at that time hed waited patiently until he eyeballed the night receptionist - who was amazed to see him. When I got there he was being fussed over by three members of staff and he trotted out happy as larry. I have never been so relieved in my life!!!
