Awhile back I complained about Century Link ridiculously over charging me on a cable/internet/phone service package I purchased. Those may remember I was promised one price and charged a much higher one. I called customer service, complained and was told it was taken care of. Only to find the following month it hadnt been. And another month of over billing was presented. My two months of service was billed something like $600. I called back and complained again but that time cancelled service. I was billed even more for early termination. I got some help through a friend Ted Fitzgeorge. The misunderstanding got figured out and I was left owing a couple hundred bucks. Still upset because of the horrible customer service and the way I was treated, I sent $10 a month to them for a couple of months keeping a running balance owed on each check issued. Todays bill comes in the mail and theyve written off the entire amount left owed approx. $180. Ive dropped all television providers since and get my video entertainment and news on the net. I dont miss the idiot box at all. And I will be much more careful anytime entering stupid contracts. Which leaves me thinking, if your product or service is so good, why would anyone need a contract?
