Awkward situation.....my neighbor has 3 foster daughters (ages 14, 16 and 17). The 14 year old has some major mental issues but understands quite well, friendly and is very loving. The other day I caught her outside when she was suppose to be in school. She said you missed the school bus. Due to her mental capacity I knew it wasnt safe for her to be outside by herself, so I knocked on her door to see if anyone was home. The 2 other foster daughters were there, yes they were suppose to be at school too. Anyhoo to make a long story short they let her back into the house. Well tonight she comes crying, yelling and banging on my door. I go see what in the world is going on. She runs in my house and said they were beating on her. The foster mother came and said they wasnt and theres nothing wrong with the girl. She then tried to snatch the girl out of my house. She kept telling the girl that she was embarrassing her in front of her neighbors. The girl was quite shaken up. I was stuck!!! I didnt know whether or not to believe the girl or my neighbor. The neighbor finally persuaded the girl to go with her. My heart is torn because what if it comes out later that the girl is actually being abused!!! What in the world should I do? The other foster girls seem to be okay but what if they are attributing to the abuse??? Taking and keeping this in prayer.....Lord Jesus!!!
