Ayurveda & cheese From Sri Lanka to Alkmaar Holland Everyone has the desire to be happy. All of us are looking for ways to increase our happiness, and trying to avoid negative feelings. Happiness means not suffering, and feeling good means being happy. There are many factors which influence our wellbeing. To avoid sickness, a healthy body, mind and spiritual wellbeing are decisive factors to a healthy and happy life. The world health organization defines health as a “combination of a healthy body, mind and social wellbeing”. This description of good health closely matches the description as we know it in the Ayurveda philosophy. However, in our philosophy we add a few extra items to complete the list. In modern day life a few aspects are central to help human beings to feel good. When someone is not healthy, the person normally goes and sees a doctor. In India people do not only go to a doctor but for several hundred years they have also consulted Ayurvedic specialists. The Ayurveda doctors were employed by the kings and maharajas of India to guard the wellbeing of the master and his people. Only when the people were healthy and lived happily the doctor fulfilled his task well. The doctor only received his reward when he had reached his goal and this is the opposite of today’s system. The term Ayurveda might be new to you. In this philosophy healthy, balanced food is essential for a healthy life. Modern science has improved human life, but we have forgotten to combine this with healthy food. When the body gets older a balanced diet becomes more and more important. This is not a complex system. Ayurveda and Ayurveda related products help to keep the body and mind healthy and well balanced. Some illnesses cannot be cured with modern drug therapy. Ayurveda can give a positive impulse in a well balanced body. To prepare the modern human being for all the tasks he or she has to preform and to keep the mind and body healthy, traditional Ayurveda and Indian Medicine, in combination with western medical knowledge, can generate an active, healthy and long life. Herbs can prevent or compensate the negative influences daily life can bring. The five elements: earth, Fire, water, air and void are important to balance a person’s life. A regularly consumed product like cheese with added Ayurvadic herbs is an easy and tasty method to help the busy human being to balance the body and mind. The positive aspects of cheese, combined with the positive aspects of the herbs, bring a well balanced, healthy product into your life. This cheese is 100 % natural and organic without any artificial elements added.
