Azalea Banks just misinformed so many of her followers. Smh. Please research African spiritual history before you spread lies. And when I say African Spirituality Im not only referring to the traditional systems, but all of the systems that date back at least 1000 years and beyond. You will find ALL origins of it in Africa. (Yes even the Greco-Romans.) She just said The Concept of The Creator (God) and the afterlife came from the slave master. *blank stare* We cant find any instances of Atheism amongst any ancient African tribal groups. So that blows that whole lie out the water. Africans as a WHOLE, have always had spirituality. Whether it was belief in one God or multiple gods who had various duties. We have also always believed that we will dwell with our ancestors for eternity after death. Atheism has no place in the heart and mind of the black man. We are spirituality. We gave it to the world. Point. Blank. Period.
