B R O A D W A Y T H E A T R E P R O J E C T We are looking young artist would like to spend a summer with what play bill says is the most prestigious summer institute for high school and college professionals in musical theatre and dance . Broadway theatre project was originally founded by Tony Award winning winner Ann Reinking. Students accepted into the program are apprentices and are divided into groups reflecting their dance experience , vocal/acting experience, of age for more individualized training. Classes are taken every day of the project typically from 8:30am to 5:00pm with an hour lunch break, and block rehearsals for numbers and pieces within the final showcase are from the hours of 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Students not in a block rehearsal continue with group classes for that time period. Though out the project guest artist often visit to have question / answer session with apprentices and usually give a master class during the day to share their knowledge of the industry . Guest artist have included : Terence Mann, Ashely Brown (former apprentice ) Charlotte d amboise, Ben Vereen, Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Julie Andrews , Patrick Wilson (former apprentice ) kathrine McPhee ( former apprentice ) Phylicia Rashad, Stanley Donen, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Tommy Tune, Jasmine Guy .
