BABIE - A0868295 @ the Manhattan NY High-Kill Shelter A volunteer writes: Chunky Mama! Clearly overfed with love its a mystery as to why Babies parents decided they had no more time for her and brought her back to us after many years. They tell us that shes very housetrained, a skill she demonstrated as soon as we were out the door, knows sit and come, is relaxed and playful and does not do well with small dogs. Babie is beautiful in a clean white coat, her snout is starting to turn grey and is gorgeous and dignified, and she has a wonderful energy about her. She walks with a spry step, navigates stairs with ease and wags her tail softly the entire time. When we see a staff member she remembers she perks up, tails wags harder, she gives hugs and kisses and a lively, affectionate personality emerges from this otherwise quiet girl. She enjoys treats, takes them gently, and while she goes off to explore the outside pen comes back frequently to check in. Babie is looking for a new home in which nice walks, lots of love, and soft places to rest abound.
