Arthur Ashe got AIDS from a bad blood transfusion. 16 years ago . . . in 1998 - FALCO, the 80s techno-pop superstar best known for the monster-jam ROCK ME AMADEUS, died in a terrible traffic accident in the Dominican Republic. He was only 40. The Austrian-born superstar singer/songwriter suffered a severe head injury when his SUV collided with a bus as he was pulling onto the highway. The name on Falcos tombstone reads JOHANN HOLZEL. 16 years ago . . . in 1998 - Its also the day that CARL WILSON of THE BEACH BOYS died. He had lung cancer. He was only 51.
