BACK TO SCHOOL - La Verne This coming Monday is back to school for the Bonita Unified School District. The La Verne Police Department will have extra police presence at all the schools to ensure that traffic laws are followed and that students get to school safely. We ask parents to observe the traffic laws including the red No stopping zones and the white Passenger drop off zones as well. In order to avoid some of the congestion we ask parents to drop students off early and to ensure they use the crosswalks and not run between stopped vehicles to cross the street. Officers will have a zero tolerance regarding traffic violations. Our primary concern is the safety of the students and an orderly flow of traffic. A reminder that students under the age of 18 yrs. old must wear a helmet when riding a bike to school on public streets. We wish everyone a safe return to school.
