BACK TO THE CAPITAL CITY ! ============================= Hemingford used some tough running by Ethan Skinner, a fumble recovery and an interception by Brady Turek, two Quarterback Sneaks by Matthew Wood, and a touchdown pass from Wood to Colt Foster to beat a scrappy Elm Creek football team 26-15 in the 2014 Nebraska State D1 Football Semi-Finals! Played in Hemingford, Fans huddled together from the bitter wind and cold, hoping that the boys in red could get back to Lincoln to finish what they started a few years ago - becoming a State Champion. Elm Creek came to town at (10-1) after beating undefeated Creighton last week, and looking for a measure of revenge for a loss to Hemingford that ended their the Buffaloes 2013 season. Bobcat fans are hoarse and mentally exhausted, and players are feeling the four hard-hitting quarters of Football played in ice cold weather for the second straight week. Woods sneaks were for ten yards and six yards, thanks to his athletic ability, and the mob of teammates that accompanied him on the two scores! But thats OK - Everything seems a little better with just one more step left on everyones wish list..............................Great game Red!
