BACKPASS (PART 1) Gonzalo Higuain’s father has indicated that his son’s protracted £22million move to Arsenal should be completed shortly. The Gunners have been close to the signing of the Argentinian for some time, with the striker’s brother and agent Nicolas claiming that a deal was nearly done last week. The wait should be over soon though, as Jorge Higuain has said he has permission from Real Madrid to speak to Arsenal and conclude a deal. Arsenal completed the signing of young French striker Yaya Sanogo on Monday, the first day of what could be a busy transfer window for the Gunners. Johan Djourou and Vito Mannone have already been loaned out and sold respectively, while Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini and Lars Bender. QUESTION If Arsenal manages to land these players... Do you see the Gunners winning a trophy next season?
