BACKPASS (PART 1) With just 10 days to the kickoff of the new English Premier League, Wayne Rooney of Manchester and Luis Suarez of Liverpool have continued to show similar signs of unhappiness with their employers and are pushing to force their respective exits. Since Rooney was last picked to start a game for Manchester United, he has been paid more than £3million in wages. For £240,000 a week, United are paying a player who is causing them maximum disruption in order to force through a move to Chelsea – not exactly value for money. Meanwhile, Suarez has insinuated that his employers lied to him and he is hard done by. Indeed, Suarez shattered any prospect of his wrangle with Liverpool having a satisfactory outcome last night when he decided to air his grievances; broken promises were cited, perspective was called for and, ultimately, demands were made. QUESTION Looking closely at Rooney and Suarez, will you say both players are being ungrateful to their employers?
