BALDWIN WRESTLING E-NEWS 12/14/14 ==THREE BULLDOGS WIN GOLD AT EUDORA, BULLDOGS FINISH 2ND It was a golden day for the BHS wrestlers at Eudora this past weekend. Three Bulldogs won gold medals, while five others placed in the 24-team Eudora Tournament of Champions. Sophomore Levi Green (106 lbs.), sophomore Thomas Lisher (138 lbs.) and junior Owen Tuckfield (160 lbs.) all went undefeated to win their weight classes. It was Greens and Tuckfields first high school tournament championship. Also placing were senior Jon Pratt (3rd at 152 lbs.), junior Joel Katzer (3rd at 170 lbs.), sophomore Ben Morgenstern (5th at 126 lbs.), Taylor Jones (5th at 220 lbs.) and Jake Katzer (6th at 285 lbs.). Senior Mario Garcia (195 lbs.) was undefeated on Friday but had to injury default on Saturday. Every Bulldog who entered the tournament won a match and scored team points. Sophomore Justin Howard (182 lbs.) and freshman Ethan Temple (138 lbs.) each won a match by fall, their first varsity wins. The tournament has a lot of history, as it was started in 1977.
