BATTLE STRATEGY TO RECOVERING ALL II “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV) Yesterday we saw that the first key to recovery is to bring God into the situation and see Him go ahead of you. Another battle strategy that David developed was to learn how to encourage himself in times of crisis. No man was ready to encourage David, and infact his men actually thought of stoning him, because everything rises and falls with leadership. What did he do? All he did was to remind himself of all the past victories the Lord had granted him. In other words, he was saying to himself, if God did not forsake me when I fought the bear, lion and even Goliath, then He will not forsake me now. In like manner, if God did not forsake you before now, why do you think He will not keep His promises concerning you? Child of God, encourage yourself with all the promises of God that you know and begin to claim them over your life. Decide you will not quit until your miracle is delivered into your hands. Remember that David did not just pursue, he also overtook and then proceeded to recover all. Everything you once lost is coming back to you because the word of God says that” when a thief is caught, he shall restore back sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.” (Proverbs 6:31) That is a guarantee that you will have everything back, nothing broken, nothing missing, no shortages or empty barrels. So get ready to get back your health, finances, marriage, business, academics and in-fact everything that concerns you because this is your season. Beloved, it is time to take the battle to the gates of the enemy. Overtake him and take back whatever he stole from you. I encourage you to stand your ground. And I can assure you that like David, you will recover all including that which the enemy himself has stolen. I declare that for your shame, you will surely receive double.
