BC Teachers, please know that I, for one, appreciate you very, very much. You are important. You MATTER. You matter to me. You matter to our kids. And you matter to our community. I can understand that you might be feeling unappreciated and unloved due to the way our government is treating you - and has for a long time. If it were up to me, as a business owner myself, I would abide by our contract and do what is right. It must be so hard for you right now and I just wanted to say publicly that I am sorry you are going through this but I respect and admire you standing up for what is right. Hang in there and dont forget that many, many people respect you, admire you, and thank you for being a teacher!
