Sri Lanka Club batted first and scored 142-8 in their allotted 25 overs with Abdul Bari 5-0-24-1, Halal Abbasi (Nasir) 5-0-22-1, Azeem Ul Haq 5-0-28-1, Imran Butt 5-0-36-1, Amir Hanif 4-0-19-2, & Imad Uddin 1-0-6-2. For Sri Lanka Club, Gamini 36 (41 balls, 4x4s) & Lakipu 41 (44 balls, 4x4s) were the top scorers. In reply, BCC A chased the target of 145-1 in 13.4 overs with Wasif Iqbal 68 not out (42 balls, 10x4s), M. Elahi 50 (28 balls, 6x4s, 1x6), & Amir Hanif 24 not out (10 balls, 1x4, 2x6s). Falak bowled well and took 4 wickets for 25 runs in 5 overs from Ritz Carlton CC along with Ramesh who took 2 for 20 runs only in his 5 overs. KHAN CC DEFEATS ASIAN LIONS! Khan CC defeated Asian Lions in the third match of the 25 over professional league with a margin of 59 runs to register there first win of the season. Khan Cc elcted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 192 to win. All the batsmen chipped in with scores as Aqib continued his good form and scored a half century 50 of 41 (7x4 1x6) with good support at the end of the innings from Imran Arshad who made 36 of 21 (1x4 2x6). Abdul Wahab 27 of 24 and Abbasi 28 of 25 chipped in with good knocks as well. Tanveer, Iyaz and Yasir bowled well with variation for Asian lions. Asian lions couldnt get off to a good start as Qassim 4-0-13-2 and Safdar 5-0-12-3 picked up early wickets. Zaheer went through the middle order finishing with figures of 5-0-28-3. Asian lions did end up with a decent score of 133 all out but couldnt reach the target because wickets kept falling on regular intervals. The only Asian lion batsmen to reach above 30 was Yasir who scored a good 38 of 31 (2x4 3x6). TITANS SHOCKS PUBLIC SECURITY! Friday (08-11-2013) Public Security Red played against Titan CC at the public security ground. Titan CC defeated Public Security Red by 30 runs, as Titan cc set a target of 153/10 in their allotted 25 overs but PS Red failed to chase it and were all out for 123/10 in 22.5 overs. Titan CC batted first but had a terrible start by losing the openers early but the innings was stabilized by Nawaf (36 runs 36 balls 4/4s) but wickets fell at regular intervals thus Titan CC managing to reach a total of 153/10, Sameer (5-0-22-3) and Yar M. (5-0-23-2) being the pick of the bowlers for PS Red. PS Red started the innings on the wrong foot with losing one of their opener early and soon after another unfavorable and criticized decision bye the umpire lead to another crucial dismissal. Zubair (38 runs 34 balls 4/4s) brought some glimmer of hope to the innings but wickets kept on falling on the other end and thus PS Red were all out for 123/10 in 22.5 overs. Saqib (5-0-16-4) and Tiyab (4-0-21-2) were the pic of the bowlers for Titan CC. WAJDA FALCONS OVER COMES PUNJAB XI! Punjab XI won the toss and decided to Bat. Wajda International Falcons were back to full strength after the return of some key players from vacation. Vacation helping and rejuvenating Saif Ur Rehman, who opened the bowling with Faisal Adeem for Wajda International and kept things very tight and quite for Punjab. Bowling the first 3 overs as maidens and the first runs off the bat coming in the forth over. Tight, disciplined bowling by Faisal and Saif gave only 19 runs in the first 7 overs with 3 wickets. This trend set by the opening bowling by Siaf and Faisal continued by Shakeel Akhtar and Ali Rafaqat and Punjab XI only managing 60 runs in their 15 overs. Only at the introduction of spinners did Punjab XI started to score freely and reached the final total of 92 in 18.5 overs In the batting response once again Saif Ur Rehman led from the front and carried on from where he left in the bowling. Scoring 45 of 36 with 4 4s and 3, 6s to take the Wajda International Falcons to Victory even after a fall of early wicket. Faisal Addem Siddique, his opening bowling partner once again joined him in batting and supported with a 16 ball 19 to have the match end early and Wajda International Falcons reach the total on 94 in 13 overs and winning by 7 wickets.
