BE INDIAN BUY INDIAN : A friend of mine running export - TopicsExpress

BE INDIAN BUY INDIAN : A friend of mine running export Business to USA earned crores of Rupees Profit during Congress Government when Dollar price soars up to Rs 70 per dollar. Well... that was a happy story!! But if we look at the perspective of an ordinary Indian like me, who is in India paying to petrol high prices every day due to The Rupee is constantly falling. The Rupee is constantly falling. Now.. what does that mean to us and our economy? We, in India earn in Rupees. When we purchase from abroad (Import), we squander in Dollars or other currencies. Clearly, a very tactful way of preserving our economy now is to cut down on our imports and try to push exports of Indian products (of course we need to ask the right price, as well) How Import can be cut down? India is globally seen as a great market for almost anything. All the foreign companies dump all there products in India, and sell it happily after making quite a happy profit. Why are we so Obsessed with foreign products. Brands from abroad lure us and we go drawn towards there stores. Whats wrong you would say.. these brands pay the excise and other duties and taxes to the Govt. Of India for the products they sell and the profit they make. Yes, thats true! The Govt. gets money that is supposed to be used for development, and you know where all that money goes to. (or rather I should say only God knows where that money goes to) and secondly, this blog talks about what We, the people of India need to do about our problems. All I am trying to say can be summed up in to words.. Go Swadeshi. Lets Be Indians, buy Indian. A lot of us arent even aware that a lot of companies arent Indian. For instance, Hindustan Uni lever which is now Unilever isnt Indian as well. They just have India in the names. There are a whole lot of everything available from Indian companies. Yes, There are some products where you cant avoid buying non-Indian, but most daily need stuff is available. You can research on internet about the products and brands you use, and gradually replace it with some Indian brands. There is yet another point I want to stress on. Though a lot of Indian companies are producing daily need stuff like toothpaste, soaps, detergent, oils, creams food item etc. etc. but the raw material is being imported from other countries. This again brings us to the same point after going around a loop. Therefore the best way out is using organic, herbal products grown in India, or if you can manage, use some homemade products. Avoid eating at McD, KFC, CCD, Pizza hut, Dominoes... an evening with friends with simple, healthy home made food would actually prove to be more enthralling and joyous. At the same time it is not harsh on your pocket. Nimbu Paani, Aam Panna, Lassi, Buttermilk... 101 Indian beverages that quench thirst better than Limca,Coke and Soda, without dumping harsh chemicals into your stomach. Needless to say, where there is a will there is always a way! Now, how we manage the situation only depends on how determined we are to cope with the scenario.
