BE SAFE EVERYONE! Please be NOTIFIED that the DOST-PAG-ASA has issuedat 5:00 AM, 28 December 2014 Weather Bulletin 1: The Low Pressure Area (LPA) East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named SENIANG. Expected landfall: Monday morning in the vicinity of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and associated with occasional rains with occasional gusty winds and moderate-heavy rainfall(7-15mm per hour) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Public Storm Signal No.1 is raised over the following areas: Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Compostella Valley, Camiguin Island, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon. Residents in low lying and mountainous areas of the provinces within PSW#1 as well as the rest of Mindanao are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao. By way of preparing the communities for such eventualities, thus pre-empting, if not mitigating any and all resultant mishaps and damages to both lives and properties, you are hereby strongly advised to undertake the following measures: 1. Issue directives such as : cancellation of travel authorities of personnel; prepare pre-disaster risk assessment; heighten response and early warning system and monitor typhoon path an intensity; 2. Convene the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and activate Incident Command System; 3. Prepare Administrative and Logistical Support 4. Activate theSecurity, Lifeline and Search and Rescue , Humanitarian and Information and Awareness Teams; 5. Monitor PAGASA advisories and bulletins Thank you for your usual cooperation. EDWARD G.
