BE YOU I just had a conversation with a friend of mine who also happens to be a Realtor, and I knew he wasnt speaking from his power. He had just been talked to by a team lead about the way he expresses himself on Facebook. They let him know that the delivery of his content wasnt in line with the brand of the company. This created a sense of doubt in his mind thus resulting in loss of power. As a small business owner I get it. Branding is important. But I also understand that if an environment or customer base suppresses YOU, the business owner, then it robs you of your true zone of genius. Personally, I like to do business with people I know. The real them not the filtered them. Why would I want to do business with someone that fakes their way through a transaction? The bottom line is that if youre a small business owner, entrepreneur, or independent contractor and the environment or customer base is not conducive to who YOU are, it is causing your business more harm then you realize. If you are holding back, that is a clear indication that you are in the wrong environment. It may be time to move on. It may be time to step into your POWER! #MAKEYOURMOVE
