BECAUSE I CAN AND I ENJOY IT Moving in with Mike the day after Mercury Retrograde started has been...interesting. Very fun. Very not fun. Very almost every single emotion I could probably list. An aspect of my shadow I wasnt aware of came out of hibernation - an inner checks and balances system that likes to keep tabs on who does what - cook? clean? shop? etc. She is ugly. This morning Mike had an early call so I made breakfast and brought it up to him in the office along with the extra coffee in the French Press to freshen his cup and something clicked into place. I enjoy playing the role of passionate, fiery, feminine entrepreneur, but Domestic Goddess comes naturally to me, too and its not a degrading role to play if I do it with Love, rather than out of subservience or obligation. So because I can and I enjoy it, I will serve my man when I want to, even though I have just as much to do in my day as he does. And because I can and enjoy it, I will cook, clean, and keep my house feeling like a sanctuary, because it is. This is fun.
