‘BEFORE MIDNIGHT’ Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy. We meet Jesse and Celine nine years on in Greece. Almost two decades have passed since their first meeting on that train bound for Vienna. We meet these two again as they reunite for a third cinematic chapter in their on and off relationship. The actors along with director Linklater again wrote the screenplay giving the characters a rich and continually captivating dialog along with emotions all over the place. A long dialog scene in a car and again walking through quaint Grecian streets lasting at least 15 minutes nonstop is impressive acting wise. Their relationship suddenly turns caustic and on a very destructive path. The writing is a modern take that would make Shakespeare proud. 3 stars from me and would think at least that for those who can get into an intimate relationship movie.
