BEHOLD ALL YE APC MEN OF VIOLENCE! DEMOCRATIC CHANGE IS NOT BY FORCE. When God created us, he created us equal, and in his own image and likeness. When democracy was conceived, it advocated freedom, equality and fairness. It recognizes and buttressed the truth that we are equal before God, and promotes that through its assertion of the principle that we are all equal before the law. Whether a christian or muslim or pagan democracy provides a space for you to breath and freely co-exist with others, to enjoy all the goodwill of the state, and to be sanctioned appropriately in accordance with the law. This is in line with scriptural provisions that our God is accommodating of all his creatures and does not discriminate in giving out his blessings; and whether you are christian or muslim or pagan, he allows you equal access to the natural resources meant for human survival. Life by Godly and democratic standards therefore is SACRED, and respect for it should be ABSOLUTE. However, in northern Nigeria and Kaduna State in particular, political developments over the past few years have been inconsistent with the above realities. This is because, ONE POLITICAL PARTY has become arrogant, dreadful, threatening, and violently terrifying. It seeks nothing but the imposition of its will any way and anyhow, even if such a will is against the will of the majority. They were the first to introduce ethnicity in politics, and when others learn to use it against them, they unleash violence. They were the first to introduce the use of Islam for cheap political popularity, and when christian minority learned and used same against them, they told their supporters to unleash terror; to kill, maim and destroy churches or property of Christians or any Muslim that supports the winning party led by Christians. Today, in spite some metamorphosis that seem to have improved the outlook of the party from what it was in 2011, it has REFUSED to metamorphose into a truly DEMOCRATIC party. It now sing the songs of intimidation, coercion and persecution of those masses who do not rightly or wrongly accept the propositions of their party. The Chanji Dole slogan, meaning change by force currently being propagated and practised by the party faithfuls is worrisome and dangerous to the survival of this state and Nigeria at large. But even more worrisome is the fact that some of our beloved brothers have become hypnotized by this violent ideology so much, such that they are ready to fight and inflict pains on us if we refuse to accept this forceful change. IS THIS A FORM OF JIHAD OR WHAT? Alh. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has provided the answer. He said everyone should be allowed to freely campaign for the candidates of their party, and that if any violent element (Jihadist or not) intimidates you, arise and defend yourself, and should your strength be inadequate, call for support from government. To those APC supporters who questioned the governors wisdom in making that declaration I ask, SHOULD ONLY THE APC BE ALLOWED TO GO ABOUT CAMPAIGNING PUBLICLY, WHILE OTHER PLATFORMS LIKE LP AND PDP ARE HARASSED, INTIMIDATED AND STOPPED FROM DOING SAME? In my opinion, if the only language they (APC) understand is violence, then let violence be our reaction to them after all, he who lives by violence will die by it. Thank you Ramalan Yero for guaranteeing the freedom to campaign in Kaduna State. Ideal change is democratic and peaceful, so let the APC campaign and let us campaign. Like Nelson Mandela once said in response to his supporter who wrote and proposed violence as the only language the white minorities will understand in the democratic process that was initiated in 1993/1994, ....we can not win the fight, but we can win the elections... Let my brothers in the APC learn to win elections, and not to fight opponents.
