BELINDA (A097242) ****DUMPED SENIOR AWAITING DEATH**** Meet Belinda, an 11 year old Pit Bull Mix that came in as a stray so not much is known about her. Dogs like Belinda break my heart, seniors don’t just decide one day to walk out of a home they have had all of their life. And by the looks of Belinda, she has not been roaming the streets for long because she is healthy. Which leads me to believe one thing; Belinda was turned out of her home, dumped. After 11 years of being loyal, showing unconditional love, showering her humans with millions of kisses, being at their side through good and bad, through heart ache and happiness, and having multiple litters it was decided that Belinda was no longer useful or needed so she and she had to go. Now Belinda is in an environment that she knows nothing about, an environment that reeks or fear, death, and unhappiness. Belinda is fearful and stressed in her new environment, she sits at the back of her cage, only sweet coaxing can get her out. Dogs like Belinda do not fare well in the shelter, in fact, at this moment, she pretty much has a death sentence awaiting her in the morning. Belinda has 3 strikes against her already; she is a Pit Bull, she is a senior, and she is nervous and fearful. That combination adds up to certain death.
