BELLANAIJA Maid Who Physically Assaulted Toddler in Uganda Faces Attempted Murder Charge 24.11.2014 at 7:44 pm By BellaNaija 19 Comments Arnella and her parents The Ugandan maid who was captured on camera torturing a toddler who was previously facing charges for torture, is now facing an attempted murder charge. Jolly Tumuhirwe, the 22-year-old maid is currently in police custody at Luzira prison under Section 41 of the country’s Anti-Torture Act and will re-appear in court on December 8th, according to Sahara Reporters. Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson stated that the maid confessed to torturing the child, and was subsequently subjected to a mental evaluation. Results revealed that she was “a person of sound mind.” The child, Arnella Kamanzi, who is one and a half years old, is said to be recovering, and in good spirits. I have small children, I just can’t imagine even hitting my helpless beautiful 5 year old. My husband and I are working parents, but this has made me reconsider my priorities and maybe less money every month is not that bad when I know my kids are safe under my watch. I have since installed more nanny cams around the house… Even in the toilet!
