BEND KIRTAN COMMUNITY date: Sunday, June 9 time: 5.30 until 7.00pm place: The Peaceful Heart, 29 NW Greeley just east of downtown what is it: Kirtan is singing the names of God in Sanskrit and Hindi. It is a spiritual practice for tying up discursive thought in mantra, rhythm, and melody. The format is call and response, a pre determined leader sings a line and the group repeats that line. It is a fantastic opportunity to open the voice while creating positive thought patterns. No kind of experience or ability required.
