BENUE SOUTH SENATORIAL PRIMARY UPDATE: Sorry I couldnt access network on my Etisalat network in Otukpo, thus, unable to give you live updates yesterday. In spite of my imposed opponent Madaki Ameh, does not have a Bank Teller to prove he purchased Nomination/Intent Forms, he was never screened, cleared nor issued Clearance Certificate, a cabal in Benue APC insisted he must contest the primaries, I dared them to the election because I know that Im fully on ground, but to the greatest amazement of over 2,850 delegates who gathered in Otukpo for the Benue State Senatorial Primaries, the APC Returning Officer (RO) in possession of the electoral materials, sneaked out of the venue and ran away, claiming he received an order along with his colleague from Makurdi to leave. The INEC observers, the police, the SSS & other electoral officers were bewildered when they discovered that Madaki absconded with them. They all called the Returning Officer on his mobile, he made endless promises of returning to conduct the election until it was 10:30 pm when INEC and the security agencies advised we vacate the venue while they also leave on time to put up there reports on the ugly development. Upon my return to Makurdi, I got in touch with the Chairman and Secretary of the Benue APC National Assembly Primaries Election and they gave assurance that efforts are being made to organize another primaries soonest. The Returning Officer lied to them citing he couldnt guarantee the security of the place, as such he left, when in actual sense, they chose the venue different from the initial one communicated us from Makurdi. They conspired and relocated delegates to Madakis Campaign D.Gs uncles hotel and it was at the same venue the same RO conducted the Otukpo, Ohimini Federal Constituency election the previous day. Madaki clearly saw the handwriting as the resilient delegates who had been waiting since 10 am, defied hunger, thirst and the scorching sun of Otukpo, to insist on one-man-one vote! The aborted primaries only took a huge toll on my resources, but my support base is intact! If they conduct the primaries a million times, we are very confident to win!
