BERNARD’S MAKE IT A DOZEN The largest sporting event on the ACC calendar, the annual Athletics Championship was held on Wednesday April 2 and for the 12th time in succession was taken out by the boys in gold, black and blue. In an unprecedented run of success St Bernards (336 points) took out the Junior, Intermediate and Senior titles to claim the Old Collegians Shield by 48.5 points over Parade (287.5) with Salesian 16 points further back (271.5). On one of Melbournes infamous four season days, where a record overnight temperature gave way to showers and windy periods, the mighty warriors of SBC reigned supreme, taking all before them and reminding the rest of the ACC what it takes to be the best. And in even scarier news for the rest of the ACC the juggernaut that is the St Bernard’s College Athletics team shows no signs of slowing and is hungry for a bakers dozen!
