BEST RETIREMENT SENDOFF EVER! Officer Russ Swift, who has served Boise for 15 years, the past 10 of those as the School Resource Officer for Riverglen Junior High, had his retirement ceremony with the students and staff during the schools year end awards assembly today. The students gave Officer Swift a standing ovation for his service. And at the end, as Officer Swift is known to do, he turned the tearful good-bye into a giant party. Watch as his funky dancing (again, its a Russ thing!) ends up a school-wide dance party with lots of hugs, smiles and best wishes. Thanks to the students and staff at Riverglen for the best sendoff ever for a School Resource Officer, who will miss his students but has left them with good lessons that will last a lifetime. Happy retirement, Russ!
