BETTY - American Mutt - Female - 10 Y Betty came to us as a county stray. She spent 72 hours in county lock up and when she was not claimed, we happily welcomed her into our program. First order of business was to get her to our veterinarian to find out about her health. She presented with a very bad bladder infection, horrible teeth and some arthritis. Complete blood work would show that everything was working as it should except her kidneys were just a little off - nothing serious. It was decided to put her on prescription kidney food to make sure she didnt slip any further into kidney disease, antibiotics for her UTI and a dental to clean up those whitey biteys! Betty came through it all like a champ! One of the vet techs at our clinic stepped forward and said she would foster this sweet girl and we were thrilled! Here is what Kylee has to say about Black Betty: Betty is an amazing senior dog! All she wants is someone to feed, love and have a warm bed for her. She hasnt had one accident in my house and only whines a little when she wants some lovin! She also sits on her hind hocks and puts her little legs just to show you how cute she is. It breaks my heart that nobody claimed her. She is so sweet and has obviously been cared for and loved. Betty is an amazing foster dog and will make a great companion for somebody with no work involved. She is a senior and doesnt like other dogs in her face, but one little growl and she lets them know -- she has never snapped, just a warning. My dogs are doing great with her, in fact, she has bonded to my two year old Husky (youngest dog in the house) and they play together. Betty paid no attention to my cat, and learned the dog door at my house in 20 minutes! She even was around kids over the holidays and did great. Betty just needs someone to give her a great retirement home and she will be forever indebted to you. Betty is now fully vetted (see above), spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. All we can say is Oooo Black Betty, bam-a-lam, Ooo Black Betty, bam-a-lam .... Black Betty needs a home, bam-a-lam ... perhaps with you? bam-a-lam :-) Call Rimrock Humane Society at 406-323-3687 or email at [email protected] if interested in adopting this beautiful soul.
