BEWARE!!! FURTHER TO MY PREVIOUS POST re individuals raising funds for private or charitable use via Bingo, Dinner dances etc. and artists performing at restaurants or other venues!!! I have been informed by the town hall and the gestoria (accountants) that all artists must be paying their Monthly autonomo fees. Apparently if you are a brick layer in the day and you also sing at functions you should be covered with your autonomo status. Restaurants have to apply for a license for every event they are going to hold in their premises unless they are already classified as musical premises. Private individuals doing e.g. bingo or other games and paying out the winners and keeping funds for themselves have to be autonomos and apply for license to hold that particular event. They say that the individual must apply and then it will be evaluated. The town hall cannot supply over the phone the price of a license. Private individuals that are doing Bingo or other games for a charity must have written authorization from the charity and showing the charity status as well as the CIF number from Hacienda. Any posters for these charitable events need to say what the funds are for. The above information is from Alhaurin el Grande Town hall and Gestoria and does not necessarily apply to Coin or Cartama but similarities should be in place? So if you wish to carry without the proper license, don’t complain when and if you get caught!!!
