BEYOND ZERO CAMPAIGN IS IN BARINGO With the arrival of H. E. The First Lady Mrs Margaret Kenyatta at Kabarnet High School grounds, the ceremony to launch Baringos Beyond Zero Campaigns Mobile Clinic is underway. The clinic is very important to Baringo County owing to the its vastness and the many hard to reach areas. The Nomadic pastoralist way of life for our communities will see this mobile clinic going a long way in ensuring that critical services in medical care is offered to nomad populations wherever they are. Medics will now be able to follow these people as they tend to their normal day to day activities and complement the services offered at the static health facilities. Apart from reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates in the county and help mothers and children survive and thrive, the Beyond Zero Campaign also has the following objectives:- Raise awareness on the challenges surrounding HIV control, maternal, new born and children’s health in Kenya. Leverage support and raise funds to increase access to HIV maternal, new born and children’s health services. Raise awareness on the link between good health and the centrality of maternal and child health towards a strong and prosperous nation. Encourage women to adopt healthy lifestyles such as preventive health through early screening for diseases, participation in athletics and other sporting activities.
