BHFD gets toned out for a working structure fire just a little before 2am this morning. Seven fire fighters, four EMS personnel, Three fire police, and three Chiefs are all that turned out. Havent had a decent drill in almost two years. No one goes to the county training center drills, everyone is struggling to run the trucks, very few turn out for meetings or training. I think we are near the point at which our community can no longer depend upon us. Politics and popularity contests are more important than qualifications, abilities, discipline, rules, and accountability and this is ruining us.
