BHm -Cars No 30 Toyota Celica It is a compact sports car, produced by the Japanese Toyota from 1970 to 2006. The Celica name was derived from Latin word Coelica meaning heavenly or celestial In japan the Celica was exclusive to Toyota Japanese dealerships. Toyota Corolla Stone throughout its life span the Celica has been powered by various 4 cylinder engines. In August 1985 the drive layout changed from rear to front. In December 1997 variable valve timing was introduced on certain models but became standard in 2000. It was available as a notchback, lift back or convertible. It was often called the Japanese mustang as it had similar styling to the Ford Mustang pony car. I enjoyed driving one in the mid seventies a nice experience for a couple of years
