This is one of the toughest verse to uphold, hands down. As in, need I say more about this? I work at a company where corruption is the order of the day & almost every transaction calls for a situation where you have to “rub someone’s back”. In order to get some, you gotta loose some, that’s the order of the day. So the CEO of our company is born again. My boss NEVER compromises on the “Toa Kitu Kidogo Policy” that runs this industry. To my boss, that is not even a point of discussion. I honestly can’t even begin to imagine how tough that is. As I was coming to work today in the morning, I was with my colleagues & let’s just say that being in that position is not easy. And apparently, being corrupt is being applauded so much by guys out there. They’d go like “It’s just business… you gotta do what you gotta do”. Honestly I couldn’t sit back & listen to this. I said this “If I was in the boss’ position, I would probably never accept a bride”. All hell broke loose. Everyone laughed out loud like I had just made the joke of the year. I was even told I’m on a “Moral High Horse”. That there’s no way I can survive in this business with that attitude… I have been told these words this week because of my actions; • Stop the holier than thou attitude… • Why are you demonizing me… • You are on a moral high horse… Being a Christian calls for High Integrity. This is not easy; you will be bruised more than you will be smoothed. Are you “man” enough to go through the fire? I look at my boss with renewed respect. I want to tap into that anointing because without God it is not possible to achieve that. Are you willing to stand up for Jesus today? Are you willing to pay the price of integrity? Are you willng NOT to conform to the pattern of this world? Have a pleasant Friday
