BIBLE STUDY: We believe that the Father God is Jehovah Yahweh, the LORD. He is God because of His Invisible Attributes ie His Divine Nature plus His Eternal Power. These Invisible Attributes, He has made manifest by His Word (in the Person of Jesus, His Son) and His Holy Spirit. Thus is the foundation of the Trinity. Based on Col 1:15, Jehovahs Witnesses (JWs) believe that the phrase firstborn of all creation means Jesus, the WORD (Jn 1:1) & the Wisdom of God (1 Cor 1:24) is not Creator but created. JWs believe Jesus is the WORD but before He came to Earth as Jesus, He was Michael, the Archangel. Which means Jesus=the WORD=Archangel Michael. Now my questions: According to Col 1:16 and Jn 1:1-3, ALL THINGS were created through the Word. If the WORD is created, why didnt the bible say ALL OTHER THINGS were created? Jehovah said in Jer 31:9, that EPHRAIM IS FIRSTBORN. Ex 4:22, Jehovah said ISRAEL IS FIRSTBORN. In Psa 89:27, Jehovah said DAVID IS FIRSTBORN. So who is Jehovahs firstborn, Jesus or Ephraim or David or Israel? How can God create HIS WORD? His Word is in Him from Eternity and BROUGHT IT FORTH (Prov 8:22-31) so that He will create ALL THINGS THROUGH Him. We all know very well that the Word therefore Creates; there are at least two bible proofs (Jn 1:1-4, Col 16). Pls can anyone give texts to support the JW stand that the Word was created and that the Word is Michael the Arcangel? NB: No judgmental comments. Pls comment on the issue citing bible text.
