The most interesting part of verse 9 reads how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin to God? If you go through the rest of that chapter, you will see the phrase the Lord was with him number of times & that calls for a question- Does the Lord normally be for some people and leave others on thier own? Now am done lets DISCUSS: I believe you go through the whole chapter, Good! Dont forget the question above. From this glimpse from the life of Joseph, I will tell you that Joseph is manifesting INTERGRITY in the Solid form( how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin to God?). Integrity in simple language is being able to know your left and right and its also being strong enough to say No! to any short term pleasure or good that will cost you your long term welfare. Not being able to do this is the primary cause of failure in the life of many people today, especially in the world of Finance! People including clergy men go blind & deaf to the sound valuation and judgement of their conscience in front of money or any other object of hedonism and go against Our Lords teaching. I wonder how many house guys today who can afford resisting Madam hummm! Life is all about exchange and there is nothing like an exchange where you can get exactly what you give! Quote me, its either you get lesser or you get greater. You can accept instant pleasure & satisfaction from the devil and watch him devour your future- the long term good in which case you get lesser or you can reject the short term pleasure(sin) and watch God build the future for you like He did for Joseph in which case you get greater. Another significant thing is that we observed that God blessed the house of the Egyptians for Josephs sake. I wonnder what he is doing in your relatives lives for your sake. And we also observed that He is always in Good terms with people he came accross, look dear, the qaulity of your relationship with people is a reflection of your relationship with Christ. Watch what verse 6 said about Joseph Joseph was a goodly person and well favoured Note you that in that Biblical sentence, being goodly came before being favoured! You will choose to be goodly 1st before favour will come and that reflects to the question we have above about Gods Favour. The real you is that which always manifest before a fraud when you know or you feel like you never can be caught. Joseph knew there wasnt anybody in there yet he still retain his sanity and sense of valuation- the conscience.
